In our continuing “2012 in Review” series, we asked some of the major players in NYC dance music to reminisce about the year that was, and also to share their wishes for 2013. (Ed. Note: Yes, we know we are a tad late with some of these, but since we figure you can probably still remember a few months ago, you’ll likely enjoy reminiscing about the year that was along with some of your favorite musicmakers.)

This installation comes from Blacky II and Dan Wender, two-thirds of the umbrella connoisseurs/rager makers collectively known as Rinsed, which also includes with the lovely aesthetician A.POP. Since 2010, the Rinsed empire has slowly but very surely grown, taking over venues like Public Assembly, Le Bain, and their “secret spot,” The Umbrella Factory warehouse, from lofts to boats to BEMF, with special guests that have included Beacon, Jacques Greene, Krystal Klear, Egyptrixx, Braille, and Ital — top that off with cheap tickets, open bars, debauchery a-plenty, and the most tricked-out decor you’ve ever experienced. (LEDs inside blow-up dolls? Laser matrixes? “Blood” showers? Check, check, and check!)

Well, tonight marks the biggest and brightest Rinsed yet: The crew is bringing the party to a brand-new, top-secret location (mysteriously dubbed “The Umbrella Hospital”), with an insanely excellent line-up that includes DJ sets by Azari & II and Morgan Geist (Storm Queen and half of Metro Area). It may be a little late to get in on tonight’s action if you don’t already have tickets (still worth a try, and it’s going LATE) but best to hook up with Rinsed online (see handy links above) to be sure the next one is on your radar early! Check out a recent Q&A from Blacky and Dan –>
