Best thing that happened in 2015: I redid my entire music studio with mountains of amazing hardware, including 30 vintage drum machines and a huge Eurorack modular system.

Worst thing that happened in 2015: I had my Paris show cancelled because of the terror attacks… However, it’s back on for January 29 and I added a Bordeaux show the next night!

The track I played out the most this year: Alex Bau: “On Synth”

My favorite new artist this year was: Silent Servant. OK, I know he has been around forever, BUT he was a discovery for me. The guy is on an upward path… super hot.

My favorite NYC place or party to play this year was: Bossa Nova Civic Club!

My favorite NYC-based label was: The return of Path Records. It’s great to see vinyl and old labels restarting!

My favorite NYC-based radio station was: YouTube!

My vote for NYC’s hottest DJs this year: Against Nature (Daniel Meagher)… We have the same tastes; as I say, he has “selection perfection”!

Record I’m most likely to drop on NYE: Double FM: “Illusion”

In 2016, I’m most looking forward to: My new album, “Separate Dimension,” coming out!

My New Year’s resolution is: It’s always the same… make more music!

Trend I predict will be big in ’16: Well, the trend of EBM/goth entering the techno world… and, well, all music will continue and some bands/artists will break out big!

Best thing that happened in 2015: Shook off a midget and a stalker

Worst thing that happened in 2015: See above

The track I played out the most this year: Richard Davis: “Methane Sea”

My favorite new artists this year were: NGLY, who isn’t new in 2015; his music started coming out last year. Beau Wanzer, who also isn’t really new at all; a bunch of his music was released under his own name this year and deserves mention and attention. Jake Reif, also not new, had a great 2015 and is going to have a sick 2016. Also, Chris Video, who’s got a bright future for sure.

My favorite NYC place or party to play this year was: Bossa [Nova Civic Club] — John Barclay and his staff get it, do it right, and have soul. Capriccio… always special, and each party is a fucking party… shameless promo or brutal honesty, you’ll have to decide. Also, playing for Nao Katafuchi at Nothing Changes was a treat… Home Sweet Home is one of the last spots with character in the city.

My favorite NYC-based label was: Without a doubt, Path Records from Reade Truth. The elusive, obscure, and lysergic label’s return was definitely a highlight. L.I.E.S. and Minimal Wave / Cititrax are also nothing to fuck with.

My favorite NYC-based radio station was: Beats in Space on WNYU, which was super fun to play. Also WFMU, 88.3, 89.9, and 105.9, which I listen to in my ride.

My vote for NYC’s hottest DJ this year: Hmmmm… a tie between Biz Markie on 7inches and la Cicciolina on 12inches, as I’m not necessarily satisfied with local options. And, always, Porkchop.

Record I’m most likely to drop on NYE: Catch me if you can to find out

In 2016, I’m most looking forward to: More music! Fleurs du Mal, my new label! Travel! Sleep, sun, and a bottle of 1951 vintage Sandoz

My New Year’s resolution is: To catch up on past resolutions

Trend I predict will be big in ’16: Gay bikers on acid

Best thing that happened in 2015: Besides all the awesome gigs I had the opportunity to DJ in both the techno and industrial/goth worlds, I’d say interviewing two of my Belgian heroes from the ’80s new beat radio show “Liasions Dangereuses” for my own radio show, “Black Door.”

Worst thing that happened in 2015: There wasn’t enough time for everything!

The track I played out the most this year: Probably Front Line Assembly’s “Mindphaser” — it goes with everything and fits any situation.

My favorite new artist this year was: Hard to choose! Basically anyone off of aufnahme + wiedergabe

My favorite NYC place or party to play this year was: Bossa Nova Civic Club! I loved playing the Closed Circuit V underground party too.

My favorite NYC-based label was: Sacred Bones

My favorite NYC-based radio station was: WFKU.org — goth and industrial 24/7

My vote for NYC’s hottest DJ this year: Definitely Justin Strauss — every time I catch him DJing I have the time of my life! There’s a reason he’s a legend.

Record I’m most likely to drop on NYE: Something from Alisha’s 1985 self-titled, debut album — gotta represent old-school NYC!

In 2016, I’m most looking forward to: Staying busy with music in terms of DJing and producing; also, seeing The Cure live multiple times!

My New Year’s resolution: To use my time wisely and stay focused

Trend we predict will be big in ’16: A continuation of the techno/industrial movement, more refined

Best thing that happened in 2015: Playing in Berlin for the first time for the Wrong Era party at Griessmühle

Worst thing that happened in 2015: Brooklyn venues like Cameo closing

The track I played out the most this year: Antoni Maiovvi: “Black Jesus”

My favorite new artist this year was: Inigo Vontier

My favorite NYC place or party to play this year was: Fixed, the best party in NYC hands down and always a great time, especially at Good Room, my favorite NYC venue; a particularly memorable night was the one I did last summer with Tronik Youth and Heretic for Fixed in the Bad Room at Good Room

My favorite NYC-based label was: WT Records

My favorite NYC-based radio station was: WBTS

My vote for NYC’s hottest DJs this year: Alex From Queens!

Record I’m most likely to drop on NYE: Mix Machine: “Bikini”

In 2016, I’m most looking forward to: Starting a label — more news to come shortly!

My New Year’s resolution is: To release some of my own productions

Trend I predict will be big in ’16: More EBM and electro
