So you know about Rinsed, right? If not, let us school you a bit: Started in late ’10 by DJs Dan Wender and Blacky II with artiste extraordinaire A.POP, Rinsed is a (usually) monthly dance party born of decadence and excess… while keeping it friendly on the wallet and in the company of extra fine peeps. Watch the video above for a taste, or check out their Rinsed.it site for more. (Don’t let the tongue-in-cheek blood and snakes stuff creep you out — Rinsed is a strictly good vibe affair… with a slightly twisted edge.)
While most Rinsed parties take place at Public Assembly’s Loft (exceptions include the crew’s August 18 party at Le Bain with Jacques Greene and Krystal Klear), this Friday things are getting nautical with their inaugural boat party. Part of the Good Peoples Summer Sail series, Rinsed Gets Seasick will feature a Top Secret Special Guest: U.K. Garage Legend Who Cannot Be Named at Present Time (though we can tell you that he just might also be part of this weekend’s Big Outdoor Event at a Museum in Long Island City…). In addition, the night promises “a proper, one-level, open air, wooden floorboard, legit-as-f*ck sailboat…outfitted with a banging sound system” in addition to a three-hour-ish cruise around NYC’s harbor, some serious dancefloor action, and the usual Rinsed-style debauchery, hijinks, and aesthetics, all for a mere $25. Tickets are going fast, so get on this! All the details can be found here.
