As we inch ever so closer to summer’s return, you can start plotting some nice-weather parties on your calendar: Tiki Disco has already announced its 2016 schedule (kicking off exactly one month from today), Output has confirmed its first rooftop party of the year on May 21 (Dark Disco with Eats Everything), our favorite balearic open-air happy hour Air a Danser looks set to return Thursdays at Battery Harris starting in early May, and we’re even hearing rumblings of a very attractive boat party in late May… Hang in there for a few more weeks, guys, and take solace in some pretty amazing indoor parties happening this weekend, the best of which you’ll find listed below. In the meantime, catch up on a bit of news:
  • Tomorrow is Record Store Day: Get out there and support your local vinyl shop.
  • Holy Ghost’s Alex Frankel and his brother Zach recently opened a deli and appetizing counter in Greenpoint, which has been receiving rave reviews. Frankel’s‘ partners include Midnight Magic’s Andrew Raposo, El-P, and Despot.
  • If you missed last night’s Antoni Maiovvi (Giallo Disco Records) x Maroje T (Remedy) x Facets (GBNYC resident) heavy af session on The Lot Radio, we’ll have the archived audio for you as soon as it becomes available (likely early next week).
  • Tonight, party legends Rinsed are kicking off their new pop-up series, 3001: Odyssey Disco. Taking place for a mere three weekends, each night promises that rare blend of stellar music, killer space, incredible aesthetics/atmosphere, and all-around awesome vibes. Unfortunately, today’s opening party with Rinsed x Occupy The Disco is already sold out (sorry, no tix at the door), but we have very good news: We’ve still got a handful of tickets left for our glitterballnyc x 3001: Odyssey party tomorrow night! We’re EXTREMELY pumped about our megatalented lineup, which includes maestro of horror disco Antoni Maiovvi (making his NYC debut all the way from Berlin), Bunker favorite Patrick Russell (who’ll treat the crowd to a special italo/EBM/techno set), Lost Soul’s R Gamble, plus the aforementioned Maroje T (Remedy) and Facets. Also worth mentioning: Expect a one-hour open bar (11p-12a), sick indoor/outdoor space with roof access and panoramic waterfront views, art installations, state-of-the-art lighting, and a custom-built soundsystem… straight through ’til the sun comes up. Hurry and snap up limited $15 tickets on Resident Advisor; if you are looking to buy tickets at the door (check the Facebook event for any updates on reaching capacity), RSVP here and we’ll send you the address tomorrow (Saturday). (And did we mention it’s supposed to hit 65 tomorrow?) Gonna be a weekend to remember for sure!

Below are our top picks for where to dance in NYC over the next three days (as always, the most essential events are marked by **); you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s going on. See you on the dancefloor…
