We know you’re probably already feeling the physical effects of non-stop holiday festivities (we sure are…), but get in that disco nap and store some energy for all the good stuff coming to your neighborhood dancefloors this weekend.
Before we get into the nitty gritty, a couple of quick updates for you:
- As you’ve hopefully heard, we’re back at The Graham (151 Meserole, Brooklyn / Montrose L) this New Year’s Eve with a stacked lineup we’re thrilled about: On deck this year will be Willie Burns ( L.I.E.S. / Creme Organization / The Trilogy Tape / WT Records), Tom Noble (Beats in Space / Clone / Future Times / Superior Elevation / House of Spirits), Soul 2 Seoul (a.k.a. Turtle Bugg and [Ctrl] / Basement Floor), Dan Selzer (New York Endless / Golf Channel), Ex Ex Ex (Aurora Dreams), and our resident Facets! $20 tickets are on sale now at Resident Advisor (if you’re still working things out, no worries — tickets will be just $25 after the 25th and $30 at the door). Stellar vibes and champagne toast included, of course. Come out and celebrate ’15 with us!
- Brand-new party alert! Don’t sleep on STAY UP, your new favorite night from everyone’s favorite artiste / legendary partystarter A.POP and Turtle Bugg (Basement Floor Records co-honcho / half of dancefloor slayers Soul 2 Seoul). In addition to a one-hour open bar and what are likely to be the best vibes outside of The Loft, the event features an eclectic mix of both local (Abraham Othwell and Turtle Bugg) and further afield (Detroit’s Kai Alce and Atlanta’s Stefan Ringer) DJ talent, a live set from the red-hot FBI Warning, and a slew of art installations guaranteed to blow minds, all in a sick Brooklyn garage. Get those tickets now and save your regrets for another time.
- As you now know, underground champion TBA Brooklyn remains shut by the “authorities”… If you missed last night’s massive fundraiser at Good Room, you can still support the cause via their Go Fund Me campaign. Hoping we’ll all be back dancing at 395 Wythe in early 2015!
- Finally, remember you can also stay in touch with us via the following:
Our top dancefloor picks for the next three days are outlined below (as always, the most essential events are marked by **); you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s going on. Catch you on the other side…
