It may not feel much like December outside (not that we’re complaining), but one look at our calendar and it’s obvious holiday party season is in full effect. Before we jump into this week’s best, we have a few news bytes for you:
  • Hot on the heels of Bossa Nova Civic Club’s third birthday, the team behind the uber-popular venue has launched a brand-new diner across the street. Juno, which serves coffee, cocktails, brunch, and dinner (with plans for breakfast, lunch, and late-night menus coming soon), held its grand opening last night (with a DJ set from Jacques Renault); if you missed out, the good news is that its doors are now officially open..
  • Moogfest, our favorite U.S. festival in 2014, took a year off to regroup but just announced its 2016 lineup this week. Scheduled for May 19-22 in its new home of Durham, NC, Moogfest’s next edition boasts a super impressive first-round lineup: Alessandro Cortini, Arthur Russell’s Instrumentals, Bicep, Blood Orange, DJ Harvey, Floating Points, Gary Numan, GZA, Heathered Pearls, Kyle Hall, Laurie Anderson, Mad Professor, Oneohtrix Point Never, The Orb, Robert Hood, Simian Mobile Disco, Sun Ra Arkestra, and Veronica Vasicka, to name just a handful. Book your room now!
  • In case you missed it, we posted our combined November/December top 25 tracks this week: Have a listen to some of our current favorites from Club Bizarre, Wolfram, Man Power, Rodion, Legowelt, Heretic, and tons more. (We’ll have our 2015 best of lists up soon, too!)

Below are our top picks for where to dance in NYC over the next three days (as always, the most essential events are marked by **); you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s going on. See you on the dancefloor…
