- Our hearts are heavy and our thoughts are with the friends and family of the 36 victims of last weekend’s Ghost Ship fire tragedy, who included musicians, artists, and other vibrant members of Oakland’s diverse community. Among the various fundraisers taking place this week, Quartz Qrystal will take place on Saturday and Black Flamingo will host a fundraiser organized by the 99 Sense and Rinsed crews on Sunday; all profits from both events will go to assisting those affected by the fire.
- Say hello to two new additions to NYC’s nightlife landscape: Tilt, which comes from the Lit Lounge team and opens tonight (DJ Spun, Dennis Kane, and more will play the grand opening), and Brooklyn Steel, an 1,800-capacity venue that will open in East Williamsburg in April.
- Happy 4th birthday to one of our favorite spots in NYC, Bossa Nova Civic Club!
- The end of 2016 is just three weeks away (thank god), and we’re super happy to announce the lineup and location for our fourth annual New Year’s Eve party! We’ll be ringing in ’17 at Trans-Pecos with some of the city’s finest: Patrick Russell (The Bunker New York/Interdimensional Transmissions), Willie Burns (WT Records/L.I.E.S./Creme Organization), Maroje b2b Amourette (Chem Club/Remedy), and our resident Facets (Samo Records). Expect killer selections, powerful sound, and stellar vibes; limited $20 tickets are now up on Resident Advisor, so grab ’em before they’re gone!
