Damn you again, Mother Nature… Our condolences to all you rooftop dwellers and Governor’s Ballers who had the rain put a damper on your Friday festivities. Here’s to hoping the skies clear before tomorrow’s boat parties set sail (some really nice ones to check out, including Autobrennt and TBA Brooklyn’s awesome-looking party with the legendary Greg Wilson). At least Sunday — which is likely to have the nicest weather of the weekend by far — is jam-packed with lots of outdoor dancing opportunities (see below for our picks).
Another big piece of news: Let’s Play House and Have a Killer Time have joined forces on a new weekly residency at The Panther Room (you know, that new side room at Output that connects to the spectacular rooftop). We’ll have all the events on the calendar shortly, but know that they will basically own Fridays for the rest of the year — DJs to include the likes of Marcos Cabral, Cosmo Vitelli, Jacques Renault, Mark E, Session Victim, Marcus Marr, and so many more house and disco masters. Tonight kicks off the inaugural event, featuring the always amazing Eric “Dr. Dunks” Duncan of Still Going and Rub ‘N’ Tug, plus Have a Killer Time’s own Justin Miller with just-added opener Cale Parks. We’ve also got a pair of tickets to give away before 7:30 pm: to win, simply follow us on Twitter (@glitterballnyc) and retweet our message about tonight’s event.
We tried our best to fine-tune all the best events of the weekend for you below (as always, the events that get our most glowing recommendations are marked by **), but you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s goin’ on. See you on the dancefloor!
