It feels like just yesterday we were telling you about all the boat and rooftop parties we all love so much in NYC… but, alas, the holidays are (really) already here. We’ll be rolling out the NYE updates soon, but in the meantime, there’s plenty to do this pre-Thanksgiving weekend. As a special bonus, we’ve added on some prime mid-week holiday parties for you this time.

Though the past week has been a bit of a bummer if you were affected by the numerous random party shutdowns last weekend or missed out on both chances to see Nico Jaar this week (he did a nearly impromptu four-hour DJ set at Cameo on Wednesday and also announced just yesterday a live Darkside gig for tonight at Glasslands — of course, both sold out almost immediately), we have a little good news. We’ll be hosting not one but TWO completely free parties at some of our favorite Brooklyn venues next week: The first will be at Williamsburg’s Trophy Bar on Thanksgiving night; let the sure-to-be-fantastic sets by Populette’s Max Pask, Soul 2 Seoul’s [Ctrl], and our own resident Facets erase both your family holiday stress and the 5,000 extra calories you ate by working it all out on the dancefloor. Then on Saturday the 30th, we’re super psyched to be at The Graham in Bushwick with our good friends JDH (of the legendary Fixed party) and his current remix partner Chupacabras (who was a resident at last year’s Fender Bender weekly), joined again by Facets.

Your weekend recommendations follow below (as always, the most essential events are marked by **) — you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s goin’ on. (And if you’re still craving the latest news — and want to enter our weekly ticket giveaways — come check us out on Twitter: @glitterballnyc.) See you on the dancefloor!
