To be perfectly honest, we’re a little dizzy with the billions of things going on this week. Here are a few standout tidbits of info we wanted to share:

  • Yes, there’s another new mega club opening up this weekend (and it’s in Midtown, not Williamsburg)… Space Ibiza NY opens its doors to the public tonight. Time will tell whether it will embrace the B&T crowd its location will likely attract, or eventually go the way of Sankeys and migrate over the East River…
  • Festival season ain’t over yet! This weekend marks the inaugural SUSTAIN-RELEASE music festival/camping weekend, a years-in-the-making collaboration between the multi-talented Aurora Halal (Mutual Dreaming) and Zara Wladawsky (halcyon). Though tickets sold out quickly, the stellar lineup (RROSE, Joey Anderson, Xosar, Blondes, Ital, Huerco S., DUST, and tons more) alone pretty much ensures that you’ll be getting another shot at attending next summer.
  • We were fortunate enough to get a sneak preview of Syro, the first new album released by Aphex Twin since 2001: All we can say is, prepare to have your minds blown. Even better: you can hear it yourself on September 23!

Take a look at our recommendations for the best parties to hit over the next few days (as always, the most essential events are marked by **), and check out our calendar for the full list of what’s going on. See you on the dancefloor…
