Fall has (unofficially) begun! We are pretty damn excited about all the good things coming up over the next few months — NYC, you’re in for a treat!

A few things to note:

  • Breadbox has officially opened: The new bakery-turned-venue joins the already hopping Kent Avenue strip in Williamsburg with what will surely be a diverse and excellent flow of local live and DJ events. Started by Rinsed’s Dan Wender and Sky White Tiger’s Louis Schwadron, you know this spot’s dancefloor will be ridiculously decadent and continuously packed. With the bonuses of no cover and frequent open bars, this is your new go-to spot. (291 Kent Avenue, below Monk’s.)
  • Electric Zoo may have been cut tragically short last weekend, but there is a bright spot on the horizon for dance music festival fans: The Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (or BEMF) is scheduled for November 8-10. Mark your calendars — we’ll post more details as they are announced!
  • In addition to opening a new Williamsburg megaclub sometime this fall, Verboten are absolutely slaying it with the lineups lately: The just-announced StageONE (new venue, same waterfront) parties on September 28 and October 12 will feature Four Tet / James Holden / George Fitzgerald / JDH & Dave P and Solomun / Metro Area live / David August / Walker & Royce, respectively. (See, summer’s not over yet, guys!)
  • Finally, last night’s killer Fixed at Brooklyn Masonic Temple was either the perfect way to say sayonara to summer or the best way to usher in a great fall: With the U.S. debut of Lindstrom & Todd Terje’s live performance (which featured not only their stellar collaborations like “Lanzarote” but solo favorites like “I Feel Space” and “Eurodans”) and super nice sets from Joakim and residents JDH and Dave P, music was on point from start to end and good vibes were in abundance. More of this, please!

Which brings us to… all the best events of the next few days have been hand-picked for you below (as always, the events that get our most glowing recommendations are marked by **), but you can also check out our calendar for the full list of what’s goin’ on.
